Project 1
Analysis Report
Studying how architecture evolves means looking at changes in different styles, traditions, and times. While this creates a lively scene, many old buildings might get torn down for new ones. So, by documenting and analyzing carefully, we preserve the precious history in architecture. For instance, we thoroughly studied The National Mosque and put our findings into an A4 poster and a booklet.
01
A4 Digital Booklet
Create a colored A4 booklet showcasing the heritage building. Use visual evidence like photos, notes, and diagrams to support the information presented.
02
A1 Augmented Reality Poster
An A1 poster incorporating Augmented Reality (AR) by utilizing AR applications.
Reflection
TGC 1.0: Discipline Specific Knowledge
In this project, I skillfully applied my expertise to investigate visual composition, carry out thorough research, and pinpoint relevant architectural styles and precise building components of the National Mosque. Additionally, I adeptly applied the architectural teachings from lectures to create meticulously detailed digital booklets and posters that are captivating.

TGC 2.0: Lifelong Learning
This task allowed me to skillfully find, gather, combine, and use information sourced from the internet to produce booklets and posters. Moreover, I showcased my ability to learn autonomously when facing challenges. Even though I wasn't familiar with the AR app, I conducted extensive research and watched tutorial videos on YouTube to understand how it works.

TGC 3.0: Thinking and Problem Solving skills
Within the group project, I developed critical thinking abilities to tackle the task of juggling two concurrent assignments from distinct modules. This was resolved by splitting the team into two groups, each handling a specific task individually.

TGC 4.0: Communication Skills
I refined my skill in presenting pertinent details about the National Mosque in a clear and compelling visual layout. Creating the structure of the booklets was also vital in visualizing and communicating the content effectively to others.
Project 2
Sketching Analysis
In this project, our task is to pick five historical buildings representing different time periods. The aim is to extensively research and analyze their architecture to manually produce an A4 Sketches booklet, showcasing each building in colored illustrations separately. The goal is to introduce students to researching, analyzing, and organizing architectural studies, while also developing their layout creation skills. This project intends to foster visual and critical thinking by studying past examples through diagrams and introducing core principles of form, space, and structure in Modern Malaysian architectural design.
01
A4 Booklet
I selected the following buildings for my research and presentation:
Skara Brae, Temple of Horus, Pantheon, St. Peter's Basilica, and Altes Museum
Reflection
TGC 1.0: Discipline Specific Knowledge
In this task, I effectively applied my expertise to identify, analyze, and extract significant insights on architectural styles and historical building elements through thorough research. Subsequently, I compiled this gathered information into an A4 sketches booklet.

TGC 2.0: Lifelong Learning
This assignment provided an opportunity to proficiently gather, synthesize, and utilize internet-sourced details about chosen buildings, integrating them into sketch booklets. Additionally, I showcased my capacity for self-directed learning by independently researching these historic structures online.

TGC 3.0: Thinking and Problem Solving skills
My creative and critical thinking abilities were bolstered as I refined my time management skills upon realizing the limited timeframe for completing the drawings. To address potential issues of space constraints and maintain orderliness, I pre-planned my drawings to avoid the need for redoing them.

TGC 4.0: Communication Skills
Through this project, I refined my ability to clearly and effectively communicate my drawings to others by enhancing their visual composition and presenting them in a more graphical style. Furthermore, I utilized color pencils and watercolors to elevate the visual appeal of my booklets.
Overall Reflection
Lecture
The lectures provided this semester were well-organized and manageable. Students are made aware of the lecture sessions and a brief introduction to its contents. The time selected for lectures considers the student's preferences. Presentation during lectures is clear and concise, passing information to students efficiently.

Projects
Projects assigned this semester are just sufficient for students to put into practice skills taught during lectures. For instance by understanding the purposes of research and history, we as students can filter through relevant architectural information through historical buildings.

Learning Platform
MyTimes, is by far the most reliable source for class materials as lecture slides and additional materials are rearranged and organized by lecturers. Attendance taking through MyTimes is also neat and easy to use.

Tutors & Module Coordinator
Tutors and Module Coordinators can communicate clearly with students, getting information through with their well-prepared slideshows and presentation skills. Although some lecturers may be monotonous, key points that are required for a student's understanding of the subject are not absent.
